Clever new variation on the Nigerian e-mail spam-scam......

This is quite clever - anyone else had this happen to them?

The scam e-mail about 'my cousin in Lagos died and I need your bank account number' (etc etc) is old hat now, and only idiots fall for it...... and any decent e-mail system filters it straight into the Junk or Spam folders..........

........ but I've had a couple recently which were sent as Calendar Appointments/Invitations - which my system allows through unchecked - and straight into my calendar - and which are set to occur at a time which, by an amazing coincidence, started a few minutes ago (so I also get an 'Overdue' pop-up.......).

:sneaky:

Not had that as yet, but to my amazement I had a 5 page letter, yes that's right a 5 page letter from the current Secretary General of the United Nations Ban ki Moon, stating that given my generous work for the UN, and personal aid donations (none of which is true) I would be receiving a £5.8M bonus from the UN directly.

I still cannot believe Ban Ki Moon wrote to little old me.......
