Should grannies be shot ? Just for carrying a million pounds worth of coke ?

People get executed for drug offences in the Gulf too. Most of them are not grannies from Redcar though. Have you seen the Landing Cards issued to arrivals in KSA ? "DEATH FOR DRUG TAFFICKING" in big bold letters in English and Arabic. Most of those executed in Riyadh and Jeddah are Pakistani or Nigerian - so it does not get into the Western media much.

Anyway, anyone dim enough to play the drugs game whether in Europe, the middle east or the far east must know there is an ultimate price to play and gets no sympathy.

Just out curiosity, how do they(airport authorities) know if a person is carrying MJ in their person or in their luggage. I've never seen sniffer dogs, and I don't think there is any device that can sniff anywhere remotely as good as a dog either.
That 1 American chap who got busted for consuming some poppy seed infused pastry or whatever , how'd the Dubai authorities discover that?

Ive had a chance to work on and off with the local police guys in Pakistan for a few years and I found it uncanny how they would figure out if a guy was lying or not. I guess its all about experience at the end of the day, in time they become very good at face-reading and body language reading and maybe it might not be an exact science, but these guys' hunches are usually spot on!
