What exactly do they want him to apologise for the fact that Lorry drivers murder prostitutes or for the fact that prostitutes let themselves be picked up by lorry drivers and murdered or for the fact that the family of prostitutes are now amazed to find out that good old Mum is a prostitute?

They wont fire him, there is just far too much money in Top Gear for the BBC to mess with it. Their most watched show now IRRC and sold around the world.
They even have an Austalian version, but it's rubbish (the presenters lack the personality to "pull it off").
