Re: Christmas Thread
I got my Spiderman advent calendar yesterday.
Tree will be up on the 1st (I'm not allowed to be involved in that because I do it 'wrong')
Last year I did most of it as a surprise, she came home, waited for me to take a post-tree-decorating nap and then re did the whole thing.
Are you going home for Xmas KC?

Re: Christmas Thread
Really fancy going to Aus but all Aussies are wankers and I don't fancy a 14hr flight.

Re: Christmas Thread
I'm doing another cleaning blitz tomorrow, and then putting everything up on Saturday. Need to do a bit of decoration shopping to get a couple more bits and pieces (lights and a garland, plus bits and pieces for some home made ornaments).
Going to put a wreath on the door. We'll see how long it stays there.

Re: Christmas Thread
kittycat I love you dearly, but you couldn't have waited just two more days until December?
Our tree won't be up for some time and frankly I'd rather avoid the whole thing as yet again I am stuck with cooking for everyone this year, despite having been promised a year off. It's been bad enough that I have to keep talking about Christmas to promote the preserve business and have been making Christmas Chutney for weeks.
I don't believe in Jesus, am not in the middle of winter and am fed up with the excessive consumerism already. It's just a couple of days FFS. I need to dig out my 'Bah Humbug' black Christmas hat...

We're staying put for Christmas. Third year in a row. Had a big thing indoors last year so going for a brunch this year. That's the plan anyway.
Just need to find one that is not too shit, has activities and stuff for kids and also doesn't break the bank (I'd like a couple of nice drinks + plus a glass of bubbly, but with kids I'm not going to get sloshed so refuse to pay top dollar)...Suggestions are welcomed!
