I think an osteopath is similar to a chiropractor, but the osteopath has the advantage of also being able to prescribe medication...should you require that.

Go for the oestopath every time
I was mangled badly in a bike accident in 96 and the NHS couldnt help but after trying various practioners I found an osteopath who sorted it over night.
Chiropractors just very good at making things go click
My osteopath sorted out my second wife who had had back pain for 24 years since the birth of her daughter and never knew why

a good one is worth their weight in gold

an overly simple view is that chiropractors focus on the alignment of the spine as being the cause of all ills (even had one say that i had a persistent cough because of a nerve being under pressure in my spine... )

personally, i like the idea of osteo's more because they 'warm up' the muscles around any bones before they do anything (and they look beyond the spine to wrists and shoulders). they seem to approach things by saying the 'click' of the bones will only last as long as the muscles support it, so if the muscles are sorted too, then everything will last longer.

each to their own, but if you haven't tried either, have a crack at an osteo first.

btw, anyone know of a good osteo/physio in riyadh?
