Default China confirms Li Keqiang as premier

They really should have appointed him Finance Minister. He'd have been up there with Cardinal Sin and Mr Drinkwater of Thames Water.

For those of us unfamiliar with the intricasies of Chinese politics, would you care to elaborate upon the reason for your comment?

They haven't been Communist for decades and are growing because of that. They are more like a moderately open free market economy with a fascist government.

At least they protect their own businesses and economy - making sure new jobs are created at home when they can. Then again they are a dictatorship and don't rely on creating/importing client states of voters to stay in power - unlike our leaders.
