Chart #1 on The Day You Were Born....

Since there have been quite a few posts that have veered off on musical tangents, thought Id come up with this idea.....

For those of us who were born after the music charts were created................

You can either use your home nation chart (Conf, MH etc) or look up the UK one.....

Mine was Rolf Harris - Two Little Boys...........

7th December 1980 - Abba - Super Trouper - No1 for 3 weeks. Strangely enough I've always hated Abba with a vengeance...

BTW John Lennon was shot the following evening...

Alternatively, what three pop songs would you like to be played at your funeral?

Meatloaf, Like a Bat out of Hell
Prodigy - Firestarter and Smack my bitch up!

That should get the church rocking a bit!

I sadly lost a mate of mine last year to Skin cancer at the age of 28. At his cremation he requested Sunscreen by Baz Lurman followed by feeling hot, hot, hot! It made for a much lighter mood, especially watching the vicar cope with the irony of sunscreen!

Sorry to hear about that. Makes me think about going out in the sun again.

I'd like my funeral to be like that, not a black, solemn event but more a party of my life etc. Everyone to wear bright clothes etc then goto the pub and get p!ssed afterwards

Bloody hell! Remind me to wear ear plugs at your funeral. My choices would be much more serene.

The Irish know how to do a funeral - at my Granny's wake we ended up singing 'til 7am the next morning....

Another reason why I avoid going out in the sun over here...mind you, after 10 years in Kenya and Saudi before coming here, its probably too late...but 28 is so young to die from skin cancer...tragic.

It's virtually a year to the day, we lost him on 1st April, sure he planned that too! Just had an Email from his widow, she's only 26 and married him 4 weeks before. Poor kid hasn't been coping too well and hasn't realised exactly how brave she's been.
