Re: Champions League Tonight
its about the 'atmosphere', I shall be watching it surrounded by locals supporting Real Madrid, if any one cheers if Real score I will order the guards to strafe the audience with machine gun fire.

Re: Champions League Tonight
i guess the only way to recreate that special Old Trafford atmosphere is to watch it among a bunch of foreigners and tourists

Not sure why threads asking about where to watch sport are moved to The Sand Pit.
Is it really off-topic/chit chat?

Hoping for a Man U win. They are the better team, and even as a Celtic fan, gotta spport the brit teams. As long as there is a brittish team involved, it'll give me an interest in it (we are going to get thumped tomorrow 2 or 3 to 0).
My tip is Bayern for the CL title though, by far the best team remaining.

.....and then it all went very quiet.....
May I point out that the last remaining English team in the CL is: Arsenal!!
I would like to congratulate my gooners on their scheduling excellence.

Re: Champions League Tonight
I called a yellow at worst when he went up for the ball. I genuinely think the RM players were hammering the ref (as expected from most sides, but moreso the continental chaps - they argue for bookings etc for everything).
I can sort of understand how it could be seen as a red though. He was in the air, studs showing and went straight into Arbeloa. However, Arbeloa made a meal of getting tickled on the arm.
I genuinely question the ability of referees in these big games. I fail to understand why there couldn't have been a top Italian or German in charge? No disrespect to Turkey but their matches are all fixed and championship quality at best.
Shame because it ruined the game and determined the outcome.
Still, angry Fergie is no bad thing. I think he's a wanker too.

Never a red card, but United have had more than their share of these decisions over the years and sometimes people make mistakes.
The game was dull in the first half with Man U playing counter attacking football and Real Madrid (Ronaldo particularly) not turning up until the red card.
