car crash/ insurance claim
Some nugget just reversed into me and crunched the front of the mustang
Police will award in my favor - now what do I do? How do I claim off them? They have insurance.

Send the police report to your insurance company and they will handle the rest. Call your insurance company to clarify exactly what they will need but as I recall, in a similar instance, that's about all I needed. Your insurance company will speak to theirs and it won't affect your no claims.
