The head of it is pivoted to allow full rotation and the really clever thing about it is that it uses the 3D movement to produce a 2D profile repeatedly by revolving the cutting surfaces producing circles.

It create patterns. Usually people use a much simpler tool to achieve the same thing but this tool is more efficient.

What other hints can I give you?...It's used in baking.
