Camping suggestions please...

Can anyone recommend some great off road camping spots here (UAE) please? Ones that don't involves locals driving their 4x4s around you for most of the evening if possible!

I camped here last weekend and, although it was a nice spot, we spent most of the evening watching battered old Hilux and Land Cruisers spinning their wheels in the sand for us - great :frown:

You can try this one

Come out of AD on the Sweihan (cant remember how you spell it) road and keep going until you come to the junction with the truck road.
Turn right onto the truck road
After a K or so, straight over the roundabout (now single carriage way)
After 1K or so keep an eye out on the left for a small abandoned security lodge and turn left at the lodge.
Follow the track until a fork where you will keep left.
Keep going for a a kilometer or so and track splits again with you wanting left fork.
The sand here can get quite soft and avoid the salt pans to the left and right.
After 1K or so you will crest a small dune and drop down into a large basin which is where to pitch tent ideally on the right side by the rising dunes.
At night and first thing in the morning a herd of camels walks through the basin which is an interesting sight
