Ladies and gentlemen, another daft EU directive gets passed into UK law. Christmas crackers, you see, are "pyrotechnic" articles - didn't you know???

Best movie scene involving a Christmas cracker: The Government Minister's house in The Boat That Rocked at Christmas (suprisingly enough) when daughter and Twatt have to re-pull the cracker, with the minister's wife's reaction. Toe-curlingly funny.
