Bugs!
 

Morning all,

Having just moved to a town house in JVT, we have noticed quite a few little nasties in the kitchen and living area down stairs….The villa was empty for a few months in-between tenancies so I guess we have a few unofficial move ins.

Being realistic I know that we’ll always have one or two unwanted visitors (not my mother in law) but their presence is not decreasing at the moment!

Can anyone recommend a good bug guy who can just come out and zap the lot for a budget?

We have quite a few doors leading to the garden but are pretty good at keeping them closed, any tips for keeping the buggers out would be greatly appreciated!

There are loads of pest control companies (Google em) who will come out and spray the property for a few hundred dizzers. That'll keep em away for about 6 months.

All fumigators are generally decent enough as long as you dont go for bottom dollar mate.

Just call a few and find out the standard rate for the size of your house and ask the ones you feel comfortable with to come in
tip : make sure u dont get to inhale that stuff even from afar, its pretty hazardous and you will need to stay out of the house for atleast 24-36 hours afterwards
I once made the mistake of sleeping in a house that had been fumigated about 12 hours ago and woke up in the middle of the night with the worst headache and puking my guts out :D
(but thats me on a standard friday morning anyway ha..ha!)

Spoken to Akkad (http://www.pestservice.ae/cockroaches-killer.html)as their website looked the best and they are doing my 2 bed villa, + garden for ants and roaches for AED 400. Sameday service too!

Using gel so no need to book a hotel for the night.

6 month guarantee too.

Any thoughts about gel vs spraying?

for extreme cases spraying i guess
we get a 6 monthly complimentary gel from the owners but i still get my own gel done every 3 months anyway

Hardly extreme but I think the Mrs hates them as much as you!

I'll majority share holder in pif paf if we don't get this sorted soon!!
