Brunches in Dubai.
Taking my wife and Mil out for Brunch on Friday.
Completely out of the loop with where is the 'in' places.
Fairmont is an old favourite, but would like something different.
Idea's recommendations?
Not Yalumba as I hate the place with a passion. (Unless of course they have banned pissed up ozzie's)
Thanks

Recommend Pergolas at the other Rotana (Murooj, opposite Dubai Mall) - always good fresh food........... and superb service.

sorry, but i think all the rotanas are rank...
depends what sort of brunch you're looking for...al qasr or mina al salaam are the best, but mina only in the winter when you can sit outside...raffles roast is really pretty good and foccaccia in the hyatt regency is also fab...mango tree at souk at bahar does a free flowing lunch, where you order from a menu (as much as you want), though i'm not sure whether they are doing an all inclusive with drinks at the moment...thai kitchen at park hyatt does something similar...
latitude at jbh is also not half bad...
vu has a real foodies brunch - set menu, beautifully presented and fabulous food, but it was very, very quiet when i was there, so i wouldn't go back...
haven't tried traiteur, but it gets good reviews, it's more limited food than the madinat offerings, with bubbly...
westin and saffron at atlantis both yalumba-like...probably better for a group...
MM, xx

Had a lovely family brunch at the cellar yesterday, food was grand, you order of a menu portions are small so you'll end up having loads of different plates, staff were great with the sprog as well and no **** nuggets in sight

There is nothing good about Atlantis - brunch or any other meal........

Some lads I know went and they said it was over top with the booze, and obviously some of the guests could not restrain themselves.

The food is very average, but I guess because the brunch is quite cheap the food purchased will reflect that.
I still think that to impress somebody the Al Qasr brunch takes some beating.
It goes until 4pm, the booze is free flowing, the food is fantastic and the atmosphere very good.

The smalll bottles of bubbly were old stock I think, every 1 of them that we had a while ago was off. They gave us the ordinary bottles after we complained.
