Default Brits celebrate Thatcher's death

They danced the conga, drank champagne and chanted:
‘Maggie, Maggie, Maggie – Dead, Dead, Dead.’
:cripes:

Looking at the photos, I doubt most know why they are celebrating.

A great advert for Britain, people celebrating in the streets when a old lady dies.

Only about 1 or 2 of them are actually over 35 and were actually affected by Thatcher. The rest are just imbeciles who think it is cool to mock somebody who has died. I'm sure they wouldn't like it if one of their family had died and people were mocking!

Not a single person in thos photo's looks like professional dole scum as you put it. They look like soft lefties, If it was a bunch of young adults having a candlelight vigil and sobbing into their daily mail i suppose that would be ok? Even though they obviously can't read a book or have an opinion on historical information.

Fact is, a person died. You liked them, feel free to mourn. You did not like them, you STFU.
As simple as that.

“Returning hate for hate multiplies hate, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars. Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that. ... The chain reaction of evil—hate begetting hate, wars producing more wars—must be broken, or we shall be plunged into the dark abyss of annihilation.”

Agreed - for private citizens. She wasn't a private citizen for much of her life. I wouldn't bother personally as I wouldn't want to waste my time, but the public funeral is going to be interesting considering the depth of feeling.

At least we can be thankful that the UK is a country that permits such expressions of free speech.

Aren't they guilty of inciting hatred, or whatever that is called?

Well, surely you could argue that's exactly what the deceased did?

I'd say it was tricky to argue against considering the comments you can read everywhere.

I think having a public celebration is crass, despite my personal views.

How did they manage to get time off work at such short notice?
