brazil passport into UK - 6 months validity required?

My 22 month old daughter is on a brazil passport, with UAE residency stamped in that. I am planning on going to UK for first trip with her in August.

We recently tried to renew her Brazil passport (present one expires in October, child passport only valid 2 years) but their system is down, and is still down one week later.

So the question is this....

...is there any requirement that she has at least 6 months validity on passport for entry to UK?

As long as you have evidence (e.g. return tickets) that you will be leaving before the expiry date of the passport, it shouldn't be an issue.

Just a thought....

Are you her father and a Brit by birth?

If so, then your daughter is probably eligible for a UK passport.
