Bored and lonely in Dubai
 
Ok I have now been living in DBX for 2 months and am still sitting at home in my apartment every night when I get back from work. There is only so much tv that you can watch before the brain starts dying.

I have posted on here before and would really like to meet some new people, I would like to start experiencing the real Dubai and not sit at home all week including weekends staring out of my window.

I don't live in Dubai, but whenever you are in RAK your welcome for a beer or 2 :)

Can't really help you out with your situation though, I had a tough time in the beginning as well (I'm your age), but when I started to meet new people it all got sorted in the end.. Just hang in there and get out of your apartment more :)

nadine, i'm really sorry to hear that...if you fancy coming along to our quiz night, then pm me...it's tomorrow night at rydges plaza...hope you're good at sport, lol, we have an urgent need for a sports buff...

this is as good place as anywhere to meet people, I've been out with quite a few of them, especially when I first got here and also play football every week with some of them.

What do you enjoy doing? Pick what you like then find like minded people. Dubai isn't a city where you have to be bored or lonely. Quiz night could be a good start, Aussie legends is an OK pub and the crowd that go appear to be safe(ish). Like anywhere else, you need to get out and socialise....make an effort and go for it.

Join a gym/club, if you enjoy sailing go to DOSC etc..
