Wait....that's the same as the Scottish Navy post independence.

What about some thoughts and prayers. They seem to do the trick after the most outrageously heinous events.

Are you kidding? It takes ages. A military response is the only fast solution.

it might be as successful as the interventions in the Middle East. Look at Libya for a good example.

I don't think it would take long to work out if you're going to get anywhere.

*Ring Ring*
Hello, is that the Iranians?
Yes
Give us the boat back and stop being cockwombles yeah?
......no.

I'm sure that phone call has already been made. Or, more likely this one:
*Ring Ring*
Hello, is that the Iranians?
Walla
Give us the boat back and stop being cockwombles yeah?
......we want trade for our boat.
*Click*

So what do you do after that?

Lol, that's probably more accurate.

I think there's a slight caveat to be included in the 'our boat' bit. It's not our boat, it's just flying our flag and has no Brits on board.
If it were a boat from a British company with British flag and a British crew - the response might be more aggressive.
At the moment, we've got their boat in Gibraltar and the Iranians probably need that oil / cash from the oil more than we need someone else to have a boat back with our flag on it.
Also, I assume the Yanks are demanding we do fudge all with the boat in Gibraltar until they decide. But again, not really any great skin off our nose is it?
Or am I missing something completely here? I've not read enough on it all yet - this is all quite face value.
