Default A Bloody Disgrace

According to gulfnews.com. many school children were unable to get home and some were simply abandoned at the side of the road yesterday because the UAE military were playing toy soldiers in Ajman looking for allegedly highly dangerous illegal workers. Idiots! Why not look after the families of their resident instead, without whom Ajman would be just another desert town.

It was police from the interior ministry..most likely cracking down on Iranian smuggling operations really.

The local chief of police is bent so they would not risk going thru him I bet

Well they were not looking for illegal workers they were working on a tip off about terrotists and stashes that were in Ajman in the industrial area, both of my kids got home so not too sure where these kids would have been abandonded as the areas that were closed off are not habitable/

What were they smuggling - nuclear materials? I just wonder as blocking off an entire district and having half the paramilitary out would warrant that I suppose...

This was evidently a smokescreen to cover up a very serious terrorism threat. Enough said.

I agree..no way they would close off Ajman just to get some dodgy illegal workers.
Fortunately UAE have a well funded and very active intelligence service, in particular in Pakistan and Iran as the Al-Nahyans got close ties to several Baluchi tribes who live on both sides of the Iran/Pakistan border..

On the subject of media silence, an Indian worker has fallen into a silo today somewhere in the Dubai area (cannot disclose more) and they are presently trying to recover his dismembered body. Doubtful that this will ever get reported.
