Bizarre Food
Am trying to persuade a friend to try ethopian food but she is against it - she almost threw up when i said i was going to go for a sheeps head (and told me to sleep on the couch!)
So since i am sleeping on the couch - what else to try - am trying to find a place where they do raw baby camel mmmmmmmm

Re: Bizarre Food
Try Wafra - there are some decent places to eat camel,
Sheeps head and nuts in Aman Street in Salmiya,
Ethopian in Hawalli (its not bad - go upstairs!)
Kheshkhash almost everywhere - but the Burj on Gulf St or Mais Alghanim
There is Al-Mayyas which is an amenian place - near Al Bidda
Try these to warm up before other things

Re: Bizarre Food
Whilst not bizarre, I can highly recommend avoiding pigeon in Cairo. Its ****ing awful. We had it grilled and were told 'it's far better boiled'.

Re: Bizarre Food
Whilst not that bizarre I had some lovely roast goat that my wife made the other weekend . In my time I have also tried fried crickets and grubs ( nice ) , ant eggs ( okay ) , jellyfish ( bland ) , rat ( made me want to vomit ) and curried snake ( passable ) .
