At least yours provide amusing entertainment - my mother-in-law used to have a golden retriever that was racist, pure and simple. It would take a few big strong boys to restrain it if a black person happened to walk by.

Our (female) dogs used to do this - heat used to fry the brains of one of them and made her horney.
I can't remember if it was worse before or after her phantom pregnancy and subsequent hysterectomy but it did make a difference.
