Re: Bit of market research help please
Shower gel for me.
From Friends: JOEY: Hey, why can't we use the same toothbrush, but we can use the same soap? CHANDLER: Because soap is soap. It's self-cleaning. JOEY: Alright, well next time you take a shower, think about the last thing I wash and the first thing you wash. :) |
Re: Bit of market research help please
I used to go for gels, but switched to soap in a drive to reduce my overall plastic consumption.
I usually stock up on Lush when i am home, or dead sea products if I run out. Rarely go for supermarket stuff but only because I have sensitive skin. |
Re: Bit of market research help please
There is a new branch of Lush in Mercato but the DCC branch has been there for years. Typically they no longer stock the one Lush product I like as it contains a small amount of alcohol

don't know why, but i'm not a fan of those "homemade soaps"...look good (well, sometimes), but are rubbish when you try to use them... hasn't lush just opened here, that would presumably be a benchmark for pricing and also a major competitior... MM, xx |
Re: Bit of market research help please
QV soap free skin products and skin care range for me and my gang - too many allergies.

Re: Bit of market research help please
Bodyshop shower gels - coconut is my favourite at the moment. I always have little guest soaps and gels in my bathroom for guests - most from hotels we have stayed at.

Re: Bit of market research help please
so the long and short is, you all nick pretty soap from hotels to impress your guests but use shower gel in the shower :)

Shower Gel and a loofah. Did go through a phase of using Lifebuoy soap, but soon get fed up with that. Oddly enough, here in Saudi, and the ME I imagine, soap seems to be still pretty popular judging by the variety on sale in the local supermarkets. |

I think you've pretty much nailed it there.

Re: Bit of market research help please
Over here I don't seem to get the lather from soap. Lux shower cream does the job best for me. Also, I can use it as a substitute for shampoo.

Asians would never dream of touching a showergel, the price of soap is so cheap compared to gel.
