Question Bird Spotters help ... black headed...

What is it?

The male is about the size of a banana. It's face/head is black, a bit like a mask. I think there might be a tiny dash/strip of white. The rest of the bird is light brown. The female is all light brown. They perch in the eves by the window.

The beak is small, straight. They can be seen in Dhahran now, mating. (The male flys behind the female, having his way whilst hovering. She stays still. He goes back to his perch for 10 seconds and then returns to go at it again for 5 seconds.)

question 2 - when might we see flamingoes in the area?

Not a bird spotter but sounds like a White Cheeked Bulbul

Question Re: Bird Spotters help ... black headed...

It was a white cheeked bulbul!

There is another bird now, and I hope you can help with it:

This bird is a little bit smaller than the bulbul. It is about the same shape, and also likes to perch in the eves of the roof.
It is also a drab brown colour, but it has a black beak, top of head and a kind of black bib on his chest, too. There are no white markings or yellow feathers under its vent.

What could it be.
