Best and worst bars in Dubai
Hi,
I'm escaping Riyadh and heading to Dubai on the 24th for a long weekend with 3 female friends. Can somebody tell me in their opinion the top 10 best bars to visit ? However we want to avoid bars frequented by 'working girls' so perhaps you could advise which ones these are as well ? Thanks all :) |
Re: Best and worst bars in Dubai
Jockeys Bar, Panorama Hotel, Bur Dubai - epic bar, full of friendly expats and the drinks are cheap.

If you're concerned about budget (over 3 nights) then I highly recommend Le Meridian hotel Village for evening brunch (near Terminal 1). Outdoor setting surrounded by palm trees, live music, lovely food, different menu each night (self serve) and the basic package is 219 with premium at 259, last orders for alcohol is 10.30. Some nice bars nearby, The Warehouse and McGettigans but don't try Jules Bar.

Atlantis beach during the week (not a Thursday) has a great vibe.

There are bars with live music/djs, lovely outside terraces and lots of restaurants do special offers. There is also Trilogy nightclub with a fabulous rooftop bar. Enjoy your visit darling :) http://www.rivingtongrill.ae/ https://www.jumeirah.com/en/hotels-r...inat-jumeirah/ |

I would have thought that a blatantly gay Filipino bar might have been quite attractive for a group of western ladies trying to avoid getting hit on.
It's full of the ugliest hookers though. As Patsy says, consider the Madinat complex as lots of places there and it's hooker-light. The top 10 is very subjective, especially as Dubai has quite a range from classy to uber-pretentious, cheap to nasty and a whole load in-between. And they are spread across the city and the OP is at one end. |

Girders in the Sea View in JBR is a worthy contender. Generous happy hour (can't remember when, but do a search, I posted a couple of months back--Sunday all day I seem to recall). Hooker free.
And although this may get some strong disagreement, Barasti in the afternoon / early evening is pleasant--sit out on the veranda watching the sun go down (accompanied by the in-crowd, or so they believe). Not cheap, mind, although Mondays (I think) most drinks are half price. |

Is Girders at the Ocean View ?
Edit: Yep, Ocean View--for some reason I had Seaview Hotel stuck in my mind. Now why was that......? (They have the best rock band in Dubai, IMHO.) |
