Best way to visit AD Cricket Ground (2nd test)
 

Guys
Although the recent debacle suggests that i must be insane to waste money on watching another debacle but i remain optimistic!!

I would be grateful to know the best way to visit the AD ground (travelling from JLT), BTW i am not going to risk and buy tickets in advance, taking the safest option, turn up on the day and buy the ticket at the gate, assuming its possibility?

Coming on the SZR from Dubai, take the E11 exit at Al Rahba, after approx 10km take the E33 (Airport Road) exit, take the 2nd exit towards Khalifa City A, at the first roundabout turn left and follow the road for approx 3km until you get to the stadium.

you could always head to the golf if the cricket ends prematurely. Free if you have an HSBC card apparently.

the buses E100 and E101 I think, from dubai go from ibn and deira bus station but they only go to the central bus station in town so you would then have to taxi from there out to the cricket stadium. i think the buses that go to/from ibn are every 1.30 mins and the one from the main bus station every 15 mins.

thanks busybee2, any idea where i can get more info, i.e how long i should allow for the journey and approx costs involved?

the e100 is the one from auh to ibn. i know the timings from auh to dxb not the other way around, but perhaps they are the same, they start at 8am and then 1.30 mins later its 25 dhs, express from central bus station (wadha) and to ibn. ring 8005555
e101 i think is a dubai bus ring 8009090 bus from dubai bus station to wadha bus station 25dhs every 10 mins in the morning 15 mins from auh.

thanks mate, will take a look, i guess i need to take the bus to AD airport and then take a taxi ride to stadia?

The stadium is nearer the airport than the central bus station so that would make more sense. Not sure if there's a premium for getting a taxi from the airport though?

Definitely the way to go. Taxi from the airport to the stadium will take 10mins and cost about 25 Dhs

Good point, i know most aiports do that, guess one could always step outside the airport building and catach a taxi from there?

There isn't an airport premium at AUH. Just take one of the silver metered taxis.
