Best Family TV ever

It's funny how Saturday night telly is so reflective of a generation. I grew up with Noel Edmonds (be still my beating heart), Bullseye, Pot Black, Hi-de-Hi, Ello Ello, and it's a knockout. All good family TV. Now we have all this reality crap where lots of wannabees sell their souls for a shot of 'fame'. Its a sad reflection on where we are socially if you ask me.

What was the best family TV ever?

Its a Knockout with Stuart Hall ... class!

3-2-1 with Dusty Bin and Ted Rogers

Generation Game with Larry Grayson (showing my age!)

Later on anything with Bob Monkhouse was usually on in our house.

What a great memory you have! I don't know any of those apart from The Professionals. Although that's probably because I spent my early years living with my grandma in a basment flat, and we couldn't get BBC1 with our aerial.

Our family favourites comprised:

Morecambe and Wise
Dads Army
Only Fools and Horses
The Sweeney
Some Mothers Do 'Ave Em
The Avengers
A Man Called Uncle
The Saint
The Benny Hill Show

The one that continues to keep us entertained is Dr Who, although I didn't like the girl who followed the delightful Martha Jones.
