Novotel Al Barsha is offering rooms at 500 dizzers for Friday night. Nice pool area if I remember correct, was a bit drunk at the time just as convenient to the Palm as anything in the Marina or Downtown.

Staying on the Palm during prime tourist season will cost you a fortune. More than a thousand, probably around 1500 for a last minute booking on Friday nights.

Ehh...

Palm restaurants are grossly overpriced. Everything is jacked up as high as they can go because most of the diners are tourists trapped to the hotels because there's nothing else around or a long taxi ride away.

Anantara lovely for dinner.

Stay on the palm if you can get a decent deal at any of them. Otherwise somewhere near the bottom of it like Tecom / Marina because to get off the palm from Anantara will take 20mins.

I'm sure I've made the mistake of staying in these establishments before! I remember one looking great in the pics but not so great on arrival! when running the bath the water ran around the seal and onto the floor, the tap not long enough to put the water In the tub

From the pictures it looks like it's in the Fairmont Residences. Should be ok.
