Best |Pay to Enter" Beaches in Dubai
 

I've taken the kids to the public beach in Jumeirah a couple of times in recent weeks and although I really like the beach itself, both times I've noticed groups of men apparently taking sneaky pictures of women sunbathing. I also saw a group crowding round a phone to look at pictures that one of their mates had just taken. I know these guys are away from home and don't get any action while they're here and I also appreciate that there is something of a culture clash going on at the beaches that must blow these their minds. In saying that I still wish they'd get the **** off the beach....

Where can you go where you pay a little to get in where there aren't fully dressed men wandering around looking for photos/happy thoughts to ponder later that night?

Jumeirah Beach Park is good and cheap, about 10 dhs to get in I think. Most of the hotels are really expensive these days though.

Jumeirah Beach Park.

5 AED per person to walk in 20 AED to take the car in. Playgournds for kids, beach, BBQ pits, basic changing facilities and really basic food (take your own)...

You can rent beds, brollies and towels there as well if you want. If you go early in the morning its also fairly quite. Gets a bit manic from 11-12:00 onwards...

Just to the left (looking towards the seas) of Jumeirah Beach Park is 4x4 beach.

It's always pretty empty, especially if you drive across to the far side (nearest the park).

I go there regularly, never any issues of blokes milling about being pervy because it's a good distance from the road and you're better served in a 4x4 to get onto it (although loads of normal cars do).

further down towards Burj Al Arab, sort of behind the Sega world building on beach road, there is kite surf beach, very nice, always loads going on, and there are showers etc, a little hut where they sell refreshments, vending machine with water and soft drinks, volley ball courts, blow up soapy sliding football field thing for the kids, you can hire canoos. Lots of young people and families with young kids, very relaxed beach.

Oh wait. Mamzar beach park on the Sharjah border is mega. 30dibs for a car and there are 5 or 6 beaches + BBQ areas + Grass etc.

It's our favourite haunt too, primarily because each beach is like a cove with plenty of palm trees for shade. It does lack decent catering facilities so take a packed lunch.

It's great there, even seen lads surfing on beach 5. PLayed footie on the back of that beach against a bunch of Afghani chaps too, was brilliant.

AND you can hire cabin things apparently, for the day and / or overnight.
