It's out of respect for Gary Coleman - we all grew up with him.

They obviously got evicted so Abu Dhabi could put their classical/jazz programme there. Seems to include Suzie Wonder ex Radio 2 also! Maybe their contract was up on 30th June?

BBC is now on 90.3 along with an interfering station so reception is pretty poor at times and also the quality of the feed signal is crap.

This is the reply I got from the BBC. Times are obviously hard.

BBC World Service in English and BBC Arabic are no longer available on

> FM from Abu Dhabi in parts of Dubai. BBC World News and BBC Arabic
