BBC 2 hours worse than Daily Fail
Re the Welsh footbal fan who died at Wembley.
First BBC report: Didn't include man's name; died of head injuries; eyewitness didn't believe a fight had taken place. Fairly measured reporting.
First Daily Fail report: Included man's name along with police statement that the police weren't releasing the name until his relatives had been informed. Headline screamed "Footbal fan beaten to death", yet in the text there was no mention of a fight (because none had been witnessed).
Second BBC report (about 2 hours later): Included man's name along with police statement that the police weren't releasing the name until his relatives had been informed.
I expect totally irresponsible and sensational reporting from the Fail, and, sadly, am coming to expect it from the BBC. Total ****ing crap.
