Will be travelling to Doha for a flying visit on Saturday 14th November to watch the football in the evening, but arrive early in the afternoon, so was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for where to go for a couple of drinks and maybe something to eat in the afternoon?

Somewhere that might be showing the England v Argentina rugby early evening would be a bonus.

I've also read conflicting statements about who can drink in Qatar and whether you can get a drink during the day or only from 7pm onwards, so any advice on this would also be useful? Also, dress code advice - football shirt, jeans etc.

There are bars in the Ramada and the Sheraton hotels where you should be able to see the rugby...or even the Rugby Club. Dress code not too strict and there are no restrictions on the hours unless it has changed in the last 3 months.

5pm for sports bar, 6pm for others - in the ramada that is
