Scamp - you wanna start a book?

I think we should indeed sir.

Destination, month & year, how many times both change before departure.

Anything else?

I'm not good on complex bets, can I just place a bet that Mission doesn't go anywhere for x amount of decisioning time?

Mission will not go on a big two week holiday in the next:

0-6 months 1/100
6-12 months 1/28
12-18 months 11/10
18-24 months 15/8

I'll have 10 quid on 0-6 and 6-12 thank you

Calculate your odds and the statement ;) That is just too easy money

I'd go more for the place, rather than timescales.

Can I put a tenner on a Med Island?

I was hoping it to be confusing enough for nobody to want to bet.

I like your thinking. Med island - there's a lot of choice though. I can't see that ever being decided on?

I hope she does get another holiday soon and that it's fantastic to make up for Bali.

You can see it now, Malta, Cyprus (North or South), how about Corsica or Sicily, and then there's the 100s of Greek Islands...

Hours and hours of fun and hilarity.

So would I, unless Mission's happy to be seen as the archetypal ditzy female, in which case they're doing a good job and should carry on

Bali is reputed to be the island of "Eat, Pray, Love."

I take it mission couldn't find a restaurant, shunned the spiritual aura and didn't get laid!....

Re: Bali

New question, I'm told that to take on a long term rental place in Bali, one pays a full year or more in advance, Is that correct for most people on retirement visas? Seems like an issue where one could easily get fleeced.

There's a fair few Aussies that I'm hearing about that have retired there..... So I'm slightly curious, especially as it seems the living costs are that low that one could actually come out well in front compared to living a similar lifestyle in Aus.

Horses for courses. Bali most definitely is a 'cheap as chips' destination for Perthies. When you've paid $18 for a pint, a $1 Bintang is very welcome.

I've traveled a lot through Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam. In my experience, Bali compares very well in the 'cheap as chips' stakes.

20 Bucks for a Pint Of Leffe at the Belgian Beer Cafe in Melbourne, dearest pint I've ever had, At least it was the real deal draught from Belgium. They also had a 3litre bottle of Chimay on their beer menu for 180 bucks....... Yehp Bali is cheap for Aussies thats for sure. Plus it's all relative, seeing as it was a saturday, the waiter serving would have been on 30 bucks+ an hour eh ;)
