Bahrain
 

I am in Bahrain next monday and tuesday for my sins.....

I want somewhere I can have a half decent feed, reasonably priced beer and a band playing covers of 80's rock.

Suggestions?

Diggers, Delmon International Hotel. You'll literally have to fight the hookers off, but it ticks all your boxers. Don't, on any account, stay at the hotel.

PS "boxers" was a genuine mistake. Freudian, no doubt.

JJ's Irish bar in Adliyah. 1.8 a pint, good food, free wifi , friendly staff. Can't say about music coz I've only been there in daytime because I was there with the kids while the Mrs was shopping. Also close to the Gulf hotel alcohol shop for carryhomes.

Just seen this, assume you've not been and gone already:-
Don't head downtown too much during the week but you could try
Fiddlers Green - The Diplomat Hotel, Diplomatic Area
The Exchange - Ramada Hotel - Adliya - close to JJ's as mentioned above
The Warbler - Baisan International Hotel, Hoora
Harvesters - Crown Plaza, also in the Diplomatic Area, close to Fiddlers
or
try any of the tons of places in Juffair.
