Re: Bab Al Shams
We went there for the Festival of Waste, nice location but service was appalling.
There are speed cameras on the road, but I don't think they are working (I hope not, anyway).

Re: Bab Al Shams
Not sure of road names, we just headed from Ranches, past Studio city and straight on all the way.

Re: Bab Al Shams
Bab al Shambles is right. The basic rooms are cave-like, but the suites are lovely. F&B needs a total overhaul, as it ought to be a great place to stay.

Re: Bab Al Shams
the road up jebel hafeet is quite amusing for the amount of cars you see that lose it and slam into the wall. The locals havn't realised that big powerful V8 SUV's and a twisty mountain road are not a good match!
