Strange that all three ATMs within walking distance of my office are "out of order" this afternoon. Not the card, simply the machines. Hope it's not a sign of things to come.

I never pay more than Dhs3.50 for a shwarma, thanks. Fortunately the ATMs in Garhoud were fully operational so it will be a lavish Friday buffet lunch for the family at Lulus tomorrow rather than a cheap budget meal.

Oh, so are you one of these people that buy into the idea that one day there will be no money and the banks will keep all your savings? God, have you never been in the UK and found ATM's not working?! It happens, why do people always have to read into things.......wasn't even worth posting was it?!

Here is nothing like the UK. From my experience, at least one-third of ATMs over here won't undertake basic cash transactions involving HSBC cards even on a good day, not sure why. Occasionally, a problem arises when none of them seem to work. That's all folks.
