The Ashes

Anyone watching / following?

Anyone lucky enough to be going to any?

430 is sounding like an alright score, but depends what Jimmy can do with the ball now.

If anyone can chase it down they can . Id have like to have seen another 30-50 runs on the board but there was a mini collapse after that reverse sweep fiasco with Buttler .

If KP had done that they'd want him hanging from Tower Bridge this morning , could prove vital . The wicket will have a big part to play but if it swings we should skittle them out .

Top win, great all round showing from the lads. The pitch played its part as you say, needed it pitched up, but hopefully a sign of things to come under this Bayliss bloke. Have you fellas checked out the commentary on Guerrilla Cricket?

To be honest i thought the Aussies got outplayed yesterday in every department . It could have been much worse if it wasn't for Johnson's knock of 77.

Make no doubt about it though they'll be back like a wounded tiger at Lords . Lot's of decent cricket to be played yet , all set now for a great series !

They'll be back for sure. I was a bit worried when Warner got off to a flyer.

Bloody hell, they do like to make things interesting don't they.
Thing about the Aussie is that its never over until the fat lady sings.
Still a game in it.

Where is a good place to watch it on Friday/Saturday, preferably near the creek? With the family away, a weekend of The Ashes accompanied by pub grub and beer sounds quite appealing.

NOt sure about the Creek, but Nezzas will be showing it, the Eloquent Elephant is as well. Both in Downtown / Business Bay. Both way out your price range ;)

Sheraton on the Creek has a English pub doesn't it? Chelsea something?
Ramee Royal in Karama?
Citymax Bur Dubai?
