Re: The Ashes
Anybody else want to see Agar get his hundred. And then out.
Edited to add, out for 98. Would have loved to see him do the 100.
So, 280 all out, a lead of 65 and a last wicket partnership of a staggering 163!

Re: The Ashes
So rare to see unusual records broken............ first number 11 batsman to score 50 on Test debut............ highest ever Test score by a number 11........ highest ever 10th wicket stand in Test history............. a few more too, probably - I'll post them if I find any........
........... while at The Oval, a certain R Ponting was scoring 169 not out in his last ever first-class innings before retiring.......... one of the highest-ever final innings (see link)............ class act...........

Re: The Ashes
Should Broad have walked ?
No way for me , play hard and play to win . Let the umpires make the decisions in the game .
Leave the self regulation on the village green .

Re: The Ashes
If the Aussies hadn't wasted their reviews then they would have taken that wicket.
People make mistakes, the controller of hotspot made a mistake by not pressing the button for the Root (I think?) dismissal.

Re: The Ashes
Let us hope that Agar the Orrible doesn't repeat his first innings success. We will need our bowlers to be at their very best and protect the boundaries.

Definitely. Why not? He has every right to let the umpire make the call. It's not self-governing like golf.

Did anyone see the Rogers 'review'? There was a debate about whether they were asking for caught behind by Prior or LBW. Prior claimed a catch that he must have seen (from about two feet away) had missed Rogers's bat by several inches - if Broad can be 'accused' (by some) of the crime of not walking, wasn't Prior's conduct just as bad?
