Armani Suit Scam
I guess you old timers will already be aware of this scam from a few years ago: http://dubai-jazz.blogspot.co.uk/200...this-scam.html
http://www.expatforum.com/expats/dub...arni-scam.html Well I wasn't, so guess who bought an 'Armani' suit for 500 Dhm today? |
Re: Armani Suit Scam
older than Dubai itself, was he on the way to the airport and needing to get rid quickly ?
fair play to the lad, he must have sold 100's down the years |
Re: Armani Suit Scam
He tried it on with my boss once.

Re: Armani Suit Scam
He once got me. I wasn't going to buy it so he said OK you can have it for free - expecting some guilt on my part. Unfortunately for him no such thing from me, I took the parcel and he drove after me pleading for any form of payment that I was willing to offer.
Can't beat a free suit. No good though...... |

Might not have been Armani but you can't get robbed for 500Dhs anyway unless it was full of holes

No it's a good fit and the material actually seems OK. Pretty much what I'd pay for an everyday work suit anyway in UK. Just an ongoing scam though.

Because they're not Armani salesmen and they're not Armani suits. Its a scam that relies on the gullibility and greed of people like me who think they're getting an $1800 suit for 500 dits because the 'salesman' is very very believable.

So - realistically - what might be the right price for the suits in this scam?

This happened to me in Tecom a few months ago, exact same thing. Luckily I politely told hm to sling his hook.
