The usual shops, New Look, H&M, Mango, Splash etc...a huge Homes R Us, a supermarket looks a bit Carrefourish...I'd say about 60% of the shops were open... Also a foodcourt and a kidszone area...and around June the cinema will open. With carrefour et all opening in mirdiff in another year, uptown is already doomed.. but on a positive note, the chippy that was in the bin sougat centre was supposed to be moving to that arabian plaza.. is it there? open? best fish, chips & curry sauce in dubai.. |

The centre is run by the same people as Lamcy plaza and is, delightfully, somewhat more downmarket that Dubai Mall, MOE etc. Most of the shops are the same as Lamcy. No crazy touristy bits and bobs just a sound simple place to do some shopping. I like it. CH |

And mrs spugsy tells me, as its one of her companies lot, that for all you lasses they are opening 'va va voom' which will be like movern spa at uptown for facials and all that business, just as nice but cheaper. |
