why what is the problem? I'm sure they could do it with mobile phones if they really put their mind to it.

I guess if it was used to issue parking fines that would be considered annoying to say the least.

It's not even the thin end of the wedge, it's halfway up the bloody thing. Each car with a satellite tracker in it = we know where you are (don't care), where you've been (don't care), and how fast you're travelling (definitely do care). Just like they've got in the taxis now (which I approve of).

Yeah, you're right--one rule for them, a different one for me (and all the other petrolheads). Speed doesn't kill, dangerous driving kills.

ah, yes speeding... well I have a pajero. speeding is near impossible.

The misses racks up the speeding fines though - I just deduct her housekeeping.

Passat R36. The perfect sleeper--looks ordinary, but 0-60 in 5.5, DSG flappy paddle gearbox, 4-wheel drive. Comfy too.

That's who I bought it from.

A/C is ok. Servicing costs--dunno.

Servicing costs are always less than Jap fridges...VWs get serviced every 15,000 kms...

Yeah, its gross inside. Wanted a white one which is more restrained inside, but ended up with black which is far too shiny inside. And with "capuccino" coloured seats--not nice. Still, good all round package.
