Anyone fly the DXB -> Newcastle route with Emirates?

Anyone fly the DXB -> Newcastle route with Emirates?
Got a stagger in early June, so no rush to book the flights. Quoting me 6,000.00 AED which I can't justify as going via Amsterdam is only 2,400.00 AED. Website says "from" 4,400.00 AED. For those that have used that route a couple of times, what's the chances of EK throwing in a special offer on this route in the next couple of months? I assume slim, but would probably pay 3,000 or so if it meant not transiting on the way there...

Very remote, I would have thought....check with Etihad it looks cheaper although it is run by Lufthansa so not sure if it is direct or not!

Correct Mike that is the cheapest one, although be careful which flight you go on as you could be stuck in Heathrow from 1 Hour to over 7 !! (01.45 seems best option)
