Any UAE based Journo's here?

And if so, why on earth do you choose to be a so called "journalist" in the UAE and how do you enjoy practicing "self censorship"?

not everything is censored, and there are some really good journalists here...then there's the dross who don't think for themselves anyway, so censorship is no issue...

Depends on the subject matter surely. It is really only UAE based issues that are censored to varying degrees and there are many other issues that people write about.

Seems to me that the degree of censorship partly depends on the newspaper. Some have their heads so far up the arses of the sheikhs I am surprised they can breathe, whilst others do try to report as best they can.
