Nah. They all drive Mercs and Lexuses. Like the Arabs Your Saudi friend was an idiot. If he was real and you didn't make this up.

Having said that, it is also used when alerting others to upcoming speed camera's. About the only positive regarding driving in this region.
I can't switch my VW's lights off, so I don't know whether a flash is a warning of a speed trap or an attempt to make me realise that I'm wasting electricity. Bloody annoying. Positively, most drivers here warn others of speed traps.

10% of road accidents are caused by drunk drivers, therefore 90% are caused by sober drivers. If we all drove pissed there'd be fewer accidents.

Arrived back late last night from holiday.

Two near misses in the cab on the way home.

Looked at the mrs (who is keen now to start planning a move back to the UK) and she just sighed. I think we're both getting a bit bored of the idiocy here.

Weirdly...5 years today.

Looping back to the phone-whilst-driving thread - both were people lane drifting whilst looking at their phones.

I REALLY want to buy a piece of crap car and just start driving into these knobheads.

My fantasy is having mental powers allowing me to cause someone's tyres to explode just by glaring at it. Oh, what fun I would have with it

17 years in the Magic Kingdom? Ah, no surprise there. Must mean you have a hard time differentiating between fantasy and reality, eh?

It explains why he's permanently grumpy and finds it impossible to ever say anything nice.

Buy an old xc90. It's not a piece of crap but devalues rapidly after 6 years despite being a brick shit house of a car. We had folks drive into the side back and front of us, and they always came off worse. We had a few paint markings. They had dents.

My tribe continues to increase, despite the unwarranted attacks of whippersnappers. "The dogs bark but the caravan moves on."

You're joking right? Terrible car (though, you might be right if it's intended purpose is crashing).

My Mrs bought an XC90 out here. I told her not to, she wanted it desperately. It did nothing but cause problems and drain my pockets. It did keep going, to a certain point, but was never reliable enough to trust with a journey above about 15 minutes.

We flogged it to those webuyanycar folks for 7,000. I think that was about 6,999 more than they should have paid!

Arrogant, miserable and patronising. Think I've sorted your headstone?

Wasn't joking. We had a great experience with ours. 2006 Ocean Race special edition. Bought for ~90k in 2010, sold for ~40k in 2014.
4.8l v8, Oman Dubai runs were a blessing with the in seat DVDs screens headphones for the kids.
Was a seriously great car for us and saved us from a number of intoxicated drivers.

Ah well. Different experiences.
