There isn't even any evidence, just a man with a grudge.

You're a freak.

When will the police start to investigate these things and find actual evidence before they bang people up and send them to court??

Do they not realise these archaic laws make them look backward?

Some knob on the FB page for 7 days wants the death sentence for the alleged crime.

It's primitive.

Quite right - but why isn't there any evidence? Surely the recipient would have kept the message as evidence, and the police can check the sender's phone memory for the 'SENT' message (it will be traceable there somewhere even if he has deleted it).

These blasphemy laws are nothing but a convenient way for Locals and or Muslims to harass and abuse non Muslims.

Back when I lived in AD; I heard about an Asian teacher being jailed because one of her students accused her of throwing his Quran on the floor and stepping on it. The AD Catholic church intervened on her behalf for clemency. It finally emerged that the student made the whole thing up because of a disagreement with said teacher. Oh and I alsor recal the teacher was heavily pregnant.

No evidence or credible witnesses throw the ****ing case out and save wasting time. The guy had an axe to grind, he just left the employment then a mysterious text. I'm no Colombo, but there Is at least one thing bothering me with this fabricated bollocks.

Exactly, it will be on Du/Etisalat's servers even if it wasn't sent from a Du/Etisalat phone/sim

Both British, serious sour grapes as one "left the company" read was sacked.

Maybe a bit foolish of the younger, but how it could possibly go to court when there is no actual evidence is beyond me.

Simply saying to the judge to order the police to get the actual message should be enough.

If, of course he did insult islam then he should be publicly beheaded!

They do it in places like Pakistan as well. A lot of Christians there have been victims of vindictive Muslims looking to make their live miserable. In some cases people are put to death for it. Just annoy the wrong person and you'll at the very least be in jail for a while before they find out they just don't like you.

Blasphemy is a victimless crime.

I would have thought the mobile operator has a copy of every text message I've ever sent.

Which is a truly horrific thought.
