Default Another one bites the dust - David Bowie

So after Lemmy (who i will miss) now Bowie (who I won't).

Both struck down by cancer, Lemmy 2 days after diagnosis, Bowie after 18 months - think I'd prefer to go the Lemmy way.

Surprised Lemmy was a year older mind you.

RIP

So sad. Both of them part of my life for 40-odd years.
Lemmy's last album is a corker: now I have to buy Blackstar.
Let's hope none of my favourite drummers or lead guitarists follow suit too soon.

Well if they did it would be a "Great gig in the sky"...

NO!!
Not Dave Gilmour, please.
Would not miss Nick Mason too much though - instantly recognisable (read, boring) drummer.

Gilmour is fit as a butcher's dog, Mason is more likely to be killed racing his cars, I think those two are safe for a while.

Clapton? We should start a book on next rock star to die in 2016.

Keef hasn't looked too good for 25 years...............
Jimmy looked OK in an interview I saw last year - still twitchy and gaunt but OK
Jeff still touring
Ritchie is back on the concert scene this year and has been on health kicks since the 80s
Pete Townsend?
Buddy Guy?
Worried about Robin Trower
Walter Trout has dodged the bullet once last year

etc.

Mentioned in the office
None of the youngsters had heard of him. Makes me feel very old.

My almost 17 year old messaged me from her instate holiday with the news - she was just as devastated as me. But then again, she fulfilled her life long dream of seeing ACDC in concert a couple of weeks ago and getting a selfie with Angus in the background, she's not your conventional teen.

Have you listened to it? Me neither (I'm assuming you haven't), but I'll listen to a few samples on iTunes then decide. Music's music.
