Of course, they'll blame it because they are not allowed to do it and need to justify why.
When you think of the hundreds of deaths a year on the roads by sober drivers in the UAE you'd think they would start blaming stupidity instead - but as that's not haram it's fine.

Saw this on Twitter this morning:
"Moments before her death newspaper deliveryman heard her say ‘someone’s trying to kill me"

A South Asian bloke with no shoes keeping asking for her, a security guard who was in the toilet leaving his post unguarded, a couple of fire extinguishers let off, and the victim refusing offers to ring the police.
The cctv playback will give a better picture one hopes.

Here's a quote from the comments section in the Xpress article:
"Human justice will always prevail in this land..."
Oh dear.

Bit of an update. Seems very strange, good to see the brit has admitted asking her back to his and admitting being drunk (wonder if he will be in court over that). Highlights the dangers of anyone getting absolutely paraletic especially out here.

This whole incident has dodgy written all over it.

I'm probably getting old, but I don't see the fun in getting so drunk you can't stand up or see straight. I've always drunk alcohol, still do to a lesser extent, but I've never been a falling-over-making-a-twat-of-myself kind of drinker.

So it appears that she didn't live in the apartment block where she fell/jumped as the article says that her accommodation was two miles away. That makes the whole incident look more like a criminal act rather than suicide. As the British businessman actually came forward voluntarily, I suspect that the Egyptian and Tunisian men in the convertible car may have been the ones she was running from, not that I am in any way racist. Out of the pan and into the fire, so to speak.
