I have never known anywhere in the world where more people fall from balconies. They cannot all be accidents surely? Fortunately my fear of heights keeps me well away from any such places and danger.

She looks sort of familiar actually (unless that's wishful thinking).......

It is odd and seems to be higher here. Plenty of other places have balconies and access to alcohol but seem to have fewer people falling off them.
If I had time I'd actually look it up.

Funny how they are ALL blamed on alcohol too.

Deaths from balcony falls aren't necessarily reported in the news in the UK, are they? I'm not implying it's commonplace but if someone falls over whilst drunk the papers don't feel the need to report it as it's a private tragedy.

The papers generally produce stories of Brits falling off balconies in Europe. Usually always pissed up balcony hoppers in Ragachuff or equally awful places, though only ever 2 or 3 a year. Here it seems to be almost weekly a baby or 'pissed up' expat tries to fly.
