Re: Anonymous Info
via email?
Set up a throw away email... http://www.disposeamail.com/ http://www.mailinator.com/ etc Send email via a VPN proxy connection. If someone is really determined, they could probably find out where it came from, but without a serious amount of effort... |

Re: Anonymous Info
one more question setting up an anon email address can it be traced even if done via IPN or would you have to go to internet cafe place

Re: Anonymous Info
Anything can be traced if they have the resources and/or police warrants etc, no idea how dodgy the cops could be out in your neck of the woods.
If it's easy to get police back handers then even a internet cafe could be found out, presuming it'll have security cameras and logs etc. Hiding the info from work or if the cops can't be bought, setting up the email via a vpn that isn't already linked to you, and then emailing via another vpn would work good enough, especially if you were on wifi and poaches someone elses signal. I'd use a free, public proxy site, that's based in a safe country if that was a consideration. |

Re: Anonymous Info
Not that I'd have personal knowledge or have done anything even remotely dodgy or anything like that mind so I don't know how that info came about

Re: Anonymous Info
the most extreme example i've heard of was...
- buy a second hand laptop with a wifi card (cash) - buy a rechargeable credit card (cash) - rent a car (with rechargeable credit card) - park outside a mall w/ wifi - connect and pay for the connection with the rechargable card - send your info - drive to a suburb you don't usually go to and "run over" the laptop and bin it a bit extreme but friend swears by it - mind you, he's all but a card carrying member of the montana militia... |
