All this fuss about new iPhones
It’s justified isn’t it?

Re: All this fuss about new iPhones
To be honest, it's amazing what they can fit into a phone these days. The iphone is the market leader, and as a whole arguably the best handset available. Paying up to $1449 for a fully loaded iPhone Xs Max does feel crazy though. The market has now matured so much that any improvements are merely incremental and no longer have the wow factor of early launches.

Went Huawei four years ago and never looked back.
I don't like being limited to what apps I can use, which you are with Apple.

Dunno. I don't pay much attention to these things but will say I vastly preferred my old Samsung Galaxy to the corporate iPhone I now use. Can't wait to get rid of it.
As for usability, the smart phones are great for email, internet, whatsapp and a handful of apps. I have no need for anything else. Too many people seem permanently addicted to their mobiles and I don't think that's a good thing.

I'm not rushing to buy one, but i have the X already so it's just the top up like they've been doing for years.
I will go and hold one of the big ones though, see how well it fits in a pocket and if it's usable with one hand. Looks spectacular.

I've just bought the Samsung S9 plus and love it. I still have to use my iPhone for work, but I don't get how iPhone is so successful. In almost every regard I find Android (and Samsung) better.

Completely agree about android vs ios. I have an office-provided 1 year old iphone (7 plus), and a somewhat older personal android phone (LG), and in almost all aspects the android phone is better. I don't doubt that 6 or 7 years ago apple phones were better quality than most android equivalents, nor that ios was more reliable in those days; but no longer. Almost all actions in the android software are more intuitive - from adjusting app settings, to saving contacts (android is far better at auto-filling information, such as putting phone numbers in the right field (mobile, landline etc) - my iphone constantly tries to put received mobile numbers into the "home fax" field...) etc.

Not an Apple fan boy by any stretch and certainly won't be queuing up to buy the new one. Generally I get 3yrs out of an Iphone (have the 7 at the moment) so will see whats about when this one dies. Not a fan of Android tho. Also, with regards to the large screen.... no thanks. I have an ipad for watching stuff.
