alcohol allowances and flying to UK

Can I take alcohol in my suitcase, (it's not duty free it's from my leftover stash) if so how much, is the ok the other (UK) end? I am flying Emirates from DXB to Gatwick...

Just allowed the normal allowances, ie 2 ltr wine, 1 ltr spirit and 200 cigs. Up to you whether you chance anything more
